Tantra Heart - Ajna Temple - Gold Coast
About
So this event is (admittedly) a decent drive out of Brisbane, but well worth the trip if you can leave work early enough to get to the Gold Coast by 7:30 on a Friday! Anja is an amazing goddess who runs a lovely safe space for tantra events. She runs several events, including saucy "meow" nights, which you can find on her events page, but here I just want to focus on Tantra Heart events which are white tantra and thus very much clothes on and about connection! ❤️

(map) Cost:~$55 book online ... 55 is an early bird ticket. What to wear:Comfortable clothes ... and bring a yoga mat and pillow/blanket if you like. ;) Website:ajnatemple.org ... then visit the events page.
The Venue
The "Tallebudgera Valley Community Hall" is simply stunning - a simply massive open room, almost like a church, with high ceilings and a warm feel. At night, with the lights dim and their decorations/alter added, it feels just a little magic. If you arrive early you'll get a spot right next to the hall and can admire the lovely block of land it's on. If you arrive when it starts you'll park on the grass along the road.
What's Special About This Event
This is a beautiful tantra event. I hadn't been to a tantra event since San Francisco... this was my first in Queensland and I was really delighted by the exercises Anja ran. This is white tantra, which means very much PG, working with energy. On the night I went, they had just a hint of "pink" tantra, which was a little steamier, but in the form of watching a couple on stage do Shibari. Often they finish with a cuddle puddle instead, which I'm not sure what rating that gets, but I think Anja does a very good job of explaining "at choice". She has a handful of wonderful "angels" to help her out at the event, and it starts with a sweet introduction, then goes around the circle. I think there were maybe 40-50 people when I went. Admittedly more men than women, plus a few couples, but I was expecting that, and the exercises are really beautiful and appropriate to share with any gender. There was a touch of dancing, and the "angel wash tunnel" was a moment that brought many to tears. I will absolutely go again!
Sincerely,
Andrew Noske
PS: For those interested, Anja also runs some naughtier "Meow" nights.

Acknowledgements: A huge thanks to Stephanie Ajna for creating such an amazing event, with such lovely activities. Also thanks to Kate for inviting me along, and Heather for carpooling with me to our first one. My guess is that all three of us will be coming to another very soon! |
