Flow Arts Spin Jam - West End Brisbane
About
If you like practising your flow in the sun, there's a lovely little group of people who **sometimes** meet and skill-share at the lovely time and location of the Saturday West End Markets (south of Brisbane city). The Market itself is every Saturday from early to ~1 pm at Davies Park - which is a lovely park in West End that faces onto the river. The flow jam itself says it runs 10am-noon at the little soccer field on the Southern Side of the market, but I think it informally is more likely to start around 11 or 12 under the shade of the lovely fig at the Southern corner of the soccer field trees near Pidgeon Cl. You should see and hear Ting playing her music there. It's nice to wander the market for a while and then drop in, but definitely ping Ting first to check if it's on.
What:Casual flow arts spin jam ...(and skill share). When:Occasional Saturdays ~11:00am - 1:00pm ... be sure to check with Ting if it's on. Where:Davies Park, Soccer Field, 124 Jane St, West End QLD 4101 ... (map) Cost:Free. ... it's a jam! What to wear:Whatever you want! ... but probably bring sunscreen. Website:facebook ... (and ting wú).
What's Special About This Event and Venue
I love that this friendly little event was started by fun friendly gal named Ting who just enjoyed coming to the market to hang with friends and then practise with her staff. One day (after the pandemic died down I believe) others suggested she turn it into a Facebook event and that's how it got started. :) I've only been once at the time of writing this, but it's a really friendly atmosphere where maybe 6-12 people might appear and just chat and share a few tricks. It's a really lovely chill way to spend your Saturday morning!
Sincerely,
Andrew Noske

- An Old Event Page... I'm so bad with Facebook that I can't find out if there's some kind of "Master" page for reoccurring events, but just do a search for "Flow Arts Spin Jam West End" and you should find the latest invite.
