Unless you look like Chris Hemsworth (i.e. so attractive even straight men question their sexuality), dating on Tinder is difficult. You are being judged on your attractiveness in a single photo, and dismissed with a swipe. If you're unphotogenic, like me, and you're too honest to upload a photo that *isn't really you* (i.e. the type of apps or camera angles people use to make themselves look more attractive)... there's maybe only one option left. Probably you have to be creative. Showing some of your personality in a single photo is tricky, so I've tried a picture of me which links to my video (noskeprofile.com), with some success and lovely feedback from girls on the opposite side of the world. Now I'm trying a new experiment. If nothing else, it might make girls laugh. :)
My new experiment: to turn my 6 profile pictures into slides: "Why you should date Andrew".
I'll let you know if I actually meet anyone nice. I live in Silicon Valley, so the few girls here that are single often don't have the type of spiritual connection I'm attracted to (people too much in their heads sadly doesn't work for me).... but hey - why not be different. And to be honest, I can't take all the credit, there was a girl I saw who put some funny text over her pictures, so I decided to embellish on that idea.
My Tinder Slideshow Pictures
The last slide is actually a favorite, but Taylor said girls don't like to see picture with other girls. Bummer.
Tinder does a weird thing where it wants you to crop photos to a square, but then renders them as 7:10 aspect ratio, so below are the images as square versions.
Hope this made you smile. :)
PS: If interested in technical details my slides are here (please don't just copy my format, that's lame and it may not even work)..... using a 7:10 aspect ratio in Google Sheets, then exported each to PNG and then PhotoShop to turn them into a square canvas before upload into Tinder.
